MATTEO GAMBA WINS RALLY DEL CARNEVALE, BEFORE STARTING THE ITALIAN RALLY CHAMPIONSHIP 2012
A winning start of the season for Matteo Gamba: he has won Rally del Carnevale - which took place last weekend in Tuscany. Onboard the Peugeot 207 S2000 prepared by Balbosca Team. Matteo and his co-driver Emanuele Inglesi did a perfect performance, even though they took part in this rally for their very first time in their whole career - imposing a very high rhytm since the first special stage: immediately they set the best time with 15" in advantage on the overall competitors - showing a crushing superiority that left their adversaries pretty unarmed.
The ride to their victory went on also on Sunday morning, as long as Matteo and Emanuele won the three opening stages, while the 2 loops on the stage named Pasquilio (characterized by a very slippery surface) they set the 2nd time with a gap of less 1" from the stage winner.
Matteo and his co-driver finished the rally dominating the race from the beginning 'till the end - with a total gap of more than 52" of advantage on the second crew.
This excellent result seems to be a great introduction for the upcoming start of the season - as within few weeks our crew will be ready to fight at the first round of the Italian Rally Championship (C.I.R.), as they are coming back among the leading characters after being away from the main Italian Championship for several years.
The Balbosca Team, which will provide them a Peugeot 207 S2000 as usual, is already arranging the lastest 2012 updates , so Matteo and Emanuele will be in condition to fight in an equal way with their adversaries.
The C.I.R. will start with the first event on 22nd/24th March in Tuscany at the Rally del Ciocco.
To get prepared properly to the demanding Italian rounds, Matteo is planning to compete in Tuscany during the upcoming weekend – named “Rally del Carnevale” (which is a short mileage rally), where he’s already awaited as one of the main event’s protagonist.
