After being away for some years from the Italian Championship, Matteo had decided to come back in the C.I.R. 2012 – which is made up of 8 rallies: it’s starting in March with Rally del Ciocco – in Tuscany – and it’s ending in October with Rally Sanremo – which is also a round of the IRC series.

Matteo has been also a Mitsubishi official driver in 2007, when took part to the entire Italian Championship with a Mitsubishi Evo IX gr. N – prepared by Ralli Art Italy. In 2010 he run the Renault West European Trophy onboard a Renault Clio R3 (for instance Montecarlo, Ypres and Barum among the most famous) – achieving the 4^th standing in the end, just behind Kevin Abbring, Pierre Campana and Eric Mauffrey.

For the current season, Matteo has reconfirmed his reference points: codriver – as usual Emanuele Inglesi will seat alongside him- , team and car.

Concerning the team , Matteo has chosen also for this year the Balbosca team, which based in Piemonte; it will provide him a Peugeot 207 S2000 – like the previous season, as Matteo is also running for the trophy set for the French brand’s top car.

To get prepared properly to the demanding Italian rounds, Matteo is planning to compete in Tuscany during the upcoming weekend – named “Rally del Carnevale” (which is a short mileage rally), where he’s already awaited as one of the main event’s protagonist.

About his plans, Matteo says: “After all the impressive experiences we had before on rallying around Europe, I’m glad we have our plans sorted for this year and I’m sure will be nice return to compete in Italy.”

He also added: “In March we should arrange also the Peugeot Sport’ brand new updates for our Peugeot 207 S2000, we reckon to utilize at the 1^st round of the C.I.R. at once.”
